Thanks! That's interesting.

I take a supplement because my diet's not perfect, but it's good to know that I don't have to worry too much.

I mean, I read somewhere that it's actually difficult for most women to get the recommended amount because it's so high!

I understand that there are very different recommended amounts for a variety of nutrients and vitamins in the US and UK, so I imagine that the goalposts will probably move over time.

I find it fascinating that this and Boning Up On Osteoporosis were both conducted by USDA/ARS, which is right at the heart of setting up the infamous food pyramid and promoting dietary guidelines, but that this sort of information seems to magically disappear when it comes to public education. You'd think it was some kind of conspiracy...
