non-leather guitar straps

I'm shopping for recommendations from fellow vegan musicians.  I've been using the Planet Waves strap with the plastic lock-on fixtures, but last night it broke mid-performance, the second time that's happened to me in a year.

I'd really like a more traditional type of strap, but one that doesn't have leather ends.  Practically everything I've seen

i used to have the same kind of strap and it broke just like you said.
but... i actually just bought an awesome strap and used it last night for the first time.
i jump around a lot but it's super comfortable and seems really durable.

I can't say enough good things about their straps. I've worked with the owner/creator almost since the inception of his business, and have watched him perfect his designs and manufacturing. They are HELLA STURDY, look good, and are sweatshop-free too. I've been using a blue Mary strap for about 3 years and it's still holding up really well.

Kepur makes a really great non-leather strap.

If you shop around, they make this really nice hemp one with ends that just don't stretch. I've got one on my electric, and I really love it.

Oh, and it could definitely hold a bass. Thing is built pretty nice.

Thanks everyone. I went ahead and ordered a strap from Couch. It seemed like just the thing I was looking for, but I'll keep Kepur in mind if it doesn't work out.

I second the Couch vegan guitar straps , they are awesome. I have two of them and love them, they soo comfy too.

My husband has the Couch- and you can get a belt that matches!
