Aiden, the lopsided eared lambkin

Aiden is over a month old now. He was found as a stray by animal control. He was a few days old and would not have survived long alone. He is recovering from pneumonia, but is otherwise healthy. He's a little Jacob sheep (traditionally a wool-type sheep), and we hope he will remain small and adorable. :) His favorite past-times include romping in ( Read more... )

We considered that, and we will probably introduce him to a mineral block (though he has showed no interest in Sadie's). The lamb milk replacer does provide all necessary nutrients, and his blood tests have all been normal, so we are not sure what the obsession is.

But, then, small children often do odd things like that, too. It seems to be part of exploring their world with all their senses - you just have a slightly easier time explaining to a human child that licking random objects is not a good idea because they might be dirty and make them ill. Slightly.
