it was sent out in emails from the north american animal liberation press office. i haven't seen them actually post it to their site yet, but i asked the 2 people i saw posting it around yesterday, and they said they received it in email news releases

Sounds like she knew she was doing a terrible job and needed an excuse - which is not to knock the hard work of the AR campaigners on this one by any means, but I suspect she shot herself in the foot more than anything else.
