I don't know about tofu pups in particular, but in my experience veggie hot dogs last a long time in the freezer. Labor day doesn't sound that bad to me. Were they badly freezer burned?

they were freezer burned, but as much as my frozen veggies are and they are fine.

Freezer burn can make foods mushy. I'd have eaten them, too -- I hate wasting food.

Thanks!! I think I've seen those at my Kroger. I've bought another kind of faux hot dog (soy) that was okay, so I might try these next time. Thanks again for explaining. It wasn't the first time I'd seen someone refer to 'tofu pups' and I was like, okay, I really need to find out what this is...lol
