Ah, yeah, it's all the fault of the fundies who drive around with "marriage = (the symbols on your bag)" on their bumper stickers. They suck. I'm sorry that your purse it being associated with that.

maybe you should write them a letter telling them this. maybe they'll come up with a new logo :)

you know, its funny, i automatically looked at the picture before iread the text on your post and my first thought about that picture was something that had to do with "why is it always a male and female, why not a fucking dude and a dude"

but then i read your post and laughed because thats exactly what you were posting about.

i dont consider myself PC or anything like that, but im so used to seeing "real marriage is boy+girl" shit everywhere that i automatically think "fuck homophobia" when i see that stuff. its not right to assume thats homophobic or to judge someone on that kind of thing though and im working on that. just like i hope people dont automatically judge me for being vegan.

write to them and tell them whats been happening to you and maybe they'll explain it to you why they chose that print. it could just be matt and nat like somuchmore said. i think they wouldnt mind talking about their products to someone who was interested in them

seeing as they're based in montreal, i can't imagine that many people complain or even see the association as negative in the first place... but letting them know that some people HAVE made that connection, even though it's inaccurate, might inspire them to put their names on/under/over each figure? they shouldn't have to change it, or even justify it, but i guess that's the world we live in? religious fundies suck.
