yes there is lots of evidence to back up what you have said. have you read 'the china study'? i highly recommend it. its fascinating all the disease eating a whole foods, plant based diet can alleviate and even cure. my family decided to become vegan after reading it, and we are feeling great!

I had a blood test and I was Vit D deficient BUT when she got my B12 results back, my doctor said that it was extremelly good and she had a almost look of disbelief on her face. Teehee.

That's awesome!!
The same is true for B12 often... that vegans sometimes have less of it in their blood but they actually have plenty in their system.
My dad is showing signs of heart disease (he's about 54) and is already on medications... the problem with my dad is that he's very thin (just to give you an idea in his twenties he weighed about 110lbs at 6' tall!) and I'm sorta built like him... He's always thought his high metabolism meant he was free from heart disease... So I'm taking precautions now as well!
I had a doctor swear up and down that I'd be vitamin deficient when I first became vegan (actually I was vegan for two years at that point), wasn't she shocked when my blood tests came out perfect!!
