I'm wondering what it will actually mean in practice. clearly it isn't a ban on forced molts, it is banning the practice of all-out starving the chickens, but they will still be force-molted by changing their diet. and since the ban is being officiated by United Egg Producers, I wonder who will enforce it, if anyone. I mean, it certainly isn't the same thing as the practice being made illegal by legislation.
it's certainly an impressive victory though, if the farmers are actually going to practice it.
