I've not tried this recipe yet, but I've had very good luck with the recipes in this particular cookbook. For those who like to make vegan desserts, even if you've been making them for years, I'd highly recommend Great Good Desserts Naturally by Frank Costigan. it's also good if you use amazake in place of fruit juice: my favorite is using apricot amazake and using dried apricots as the fruit, and adding nuts on top. i also enjoy a "chocolatey" pudding by using the java amazake.
