I used earth balance for the baking ingredient but for outside coating I just used some cheap margarine.

Yeah, I am also curious as to what "cheap margarine" is vegan! Earth Balance can get a little expensive...

I live in upstate NY and we have Wegmans which has their store brand products that have little symbols indicating whether products are vegan, gluten-free, etc. So their oil/water based cheap vegetable spread (margarine) is vegan.

How many eggs is that equivalent to? I don't use regular egg replacer... I use either flax seed meal and water or corn starch and water.

Anyway, these look amazing and I hope I can try them soon!

So much oil...but it's not meant to be healthy...

I'm totally going to make these, I've got everything for it already anyhow. ^.^

I have to make these, after seeing the picture, I really do not have a choice :)

Earth Balance is pretty expensive but I wouldn't be using it for anything else so I'm sure I could just use it on this recipe alone. I live in upstate NY as well (other side of the state) and we don't have Wegmans over here and Earth Balance is pretty much the only vegan butter.
