Favourite Vegan Hors D'Oeuvres?

I am going to a potluck for new year's eve this year, and volunteered to contribute finger foods. I'd like something fairly low maintenance. Having to warm it up in the oven is alright, but I'd like to be able to do all the prep work beforehand. I'd also prefer not to do any kind of dips because there are some other people contributing those kinds ( Read more... )

Avocado bruschetta? I love all things avocado, so I'm partial to it! I haven't followed that exact recipe, but it looks like it would work. I usually mash the avocado, then spread it (instead of combining it with the other ingredients), and combine the tomatoes, garlic, basil, and s&p, then use that as the topping.

medjool dates stuffed with toasted pecans. Split em and stuff em and throw them in the oven on 450 for a few minutes. Awesome.

Stuffed grape leaves/dolmadas are always delicious, and not too hard to make. There are a few different recipes for them in the memories, I think.

If you can find some vegan crescent rolls, roll them up with a slice of tofurkey (or other fake sandwich meat of your choice) and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Easy and effin' delicious :) They are a little big whole, so maybe cut them into twos or threes before baking?

I think the pillsbury crescent recipe creations thing (the sheet of crescent roll dough) is vegan.

Now I want to try and do something similar to the broccoli, cheese, and pepperoni that my grandmother used to roll up in crescent rolls, then slice after baking.

Yeah, I never pay attention to the brand I use; I just go in and read ingredients until I find one that works.

Broc, cheese and pepperoni sounds delectable, too!
