Spread?

Sep 21, 2009 19:25

I was just wondering, since I'm a new vegan, and I tend to use peanut butter on everything...
does anybody have any good ideas for a spread to put on toast or other breads?
What are your faves?

Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention, one thing I have also done is use peanut butter and then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it. Delish!

I prefer almond butter over peanut butter myself. Taste the difference at first bite.

Yes yummmm
I find that if I put some jam on my toast first I can get more mileage out of my almond butter. Just sayin

I just recently fell in love with sunflower seed butter... try it! It has a very peanut butter-y taste, I feel.

Cashew butter and homemade raspberry jam (so easy! 2 cups raspberries in a pot, boil 2 minutes, add 2 cups sugar, boil 2 more minutes, let cool and jell, store in sterilized jar).
