dipping sauce for potatoes

I'm looking for a good dipping sauce for roasted potatoes. I'm already making a chive sour cream, but I have a vegan friend attending a party at which I'm going to serve the 'taters, and I'd like to make something for him. This is awesome - the first thing I thought of was actually ketchup and Frank's hot sauce. I guess that could be called the poor man's horseradish? :)

No joke, buy horseradish, you can get it in a tiny jar or raw.. but read the jarred kind because it should just be horseradish and vinegar but some put in mayo for unknown reasons. Mix a tiny bit of horseradish with a good quality ketchup, and it really good cocktail sauce. I'd say add like a drop of horseradish, mix, taste, add more if need be. A little goes a long way.

you could mix maple syrup (the real thing, not that aunt jemima crap) and dijon or yellow mustard in roughly equal parts (adjust to taste). it's pretty tasty. like honey mustard, but without the bee vomit ;)

you could always just make the dip you were planning on making with soy sour cream instead of real sour cream. it tastes just as good!
