Uses for rice protein powder?

Mar 04, 2009 16:07

I have 3/4 of a huge canister of rice protein powder that I need to use up. I was previously putting it into smoothies but I am so so so sick of smoothies. What else could I put this stuff in? I'll take any suggestions you guys throw at me. TIA!

Is it flavored?

If not, you could add it to soups, bread recipes, etc.

Nope, not flavored.... it does have a funky malt-type consistency to it though.

Hm. Yeah, I've put plain protein powder in brownies before and it did OK- that's all i got though. :)

I use protein powder in baked goods - breads, cookies and cakes - to up the protein content. I typically add 1 tablespoon of extra liquid per 2 tablespoons added. I only add 2 to 4 tablespoons per baked good.

throw it in oatmeal if you eat that. i tend to just add it in baked goods. i recently bought some brown rice protein and hate the aftertaste so i had to throw it in some muffins with a lot of sugar.

It's Feathers McGraw from the Wallace and Gromit episode "The Wrong Trousers."
