Is it still in the package? I think it should be fine.

Also, for future reference, in my experience it's really obvious if tofu has gone bad. It will smell bad or have mold.

Good point! I'm still used to meat as a point of reference, which is a little more sneaky!

I've thawed tofu and not gotten around to making anything with it until sometimes a week later and it's still been fine... though I'm not actually sure on what the "proper" time frame is either. :-)

it's fine.

i've actually frozen a bunch of it and i leave it in the fridge after it's gotten solid for a week or two so i have that pre-frozen stuff ready to eat.

Yes I wondered about doing this myself actually as I *always* forget to take it out the freezer the morning I need it!
Thanks :)

I freeze tofu regularly and thaw it in the fridge. I have used it up to a week later with no issues. It will be obvious if it goes nasty on you trust me on that. It smells bad and looks horrid. It usually takes 2 days from freezer to fridge for me. My fridge is a lovely work of art though. Best fridge I ever had in terms of food not going bad for longer periods of time.

I don't go longer than 4-5 days before using the tofu though. Just to be on the safer side.
