I'm most likely going to be soon.

Don't they have a points system where you just count up the point value of each food? That seems like it would be easier than trying to "veganize" Weight Watchers recipes.

I haven't done it, but a friend of mine is on it (not vegan).. she's always finding recipes on their website that are vegan or can be made vegan. fatfreevegan.com has quite a few recipes that already have the points calculated. just do a recipe search for "weight watchers" in quotes, there's a ton of stuff (i actually was just looking for that today!)

also, i've been using fitday.com for a long time and while it's tedious, i've been able to put in all the ingredients that i use for a recipe, devide the nutritional info by the amount of servings it makes, and then i make a new custom food with that info. easy to figure out the calories, fat, fiber, etc from your own recipes.

oh, and they do have in their points books just about every vegan product out there!

if you do a lot of homemade recipes, sparkpeople.com is a little bit better. it has a part called sparkrecipes.com, where you enter in all of the ingredients, number of servings, and then it automatically adds it to your favorite foods where you can add it in as needed.
they also have some recipes from how it all vegan, vwav, and one or two others already in the recipe section, so you can just add those in without typing all of the info.

Yes! Love for sparkpeople. Generally a better community, too, if you're into that.

sure! you can calculate the points value of any recipe by plugging the ingredients into the online tools.
I've seen http://www.bryannaclarkgrogan.com/pumpkin_soynog.html post "core" recipes. fatfreevegan might be helpful too.

I was going to suggest Bryanna. She posts many, if not all of her recipes, with the WW value, and she tries to post a good number of core recipes.

Definitely the place that I would start.

back before they eliminated core, weight watchers was GREAT as a vegan. basically, you just eat lots of veggies, lean proteins (texturized soy is the leanest protein around!), limit bread/potatoes/pasta to one serving per day and avoid too much processed food.

Their new system is more about selling weight watchers meals and counting up points, less vegan/raw friendly =(

Im totally going to see what the Core plan is about.

even though they have eliminated core you can still pretty much do core if you just do the "set" foods, or whatever the hell they call them now, the list is pretty much the same. so it's still possible to do it, you just have to delve in a little bit deeper. anyways, i've been doing WW for almost a year and i find it super easy to do vegan. i go to the meetings with 4 other vegans which makes it easier- it's like the vegan support crew of WW and we sit there and veganize everything. ridiculous.
