Bacos/Bacon bits in cooking and baking

Is it possible to add Bacos or similar to a dish that is being baked, such as stuffing?  I added Bacos to a soup once (it was my first time using them, I had no idea) and they went all soggy and pale and bleh, although they did lend their flavour to the broth of the soup.  Will they hold up to baking in a cornbread stuffing, or in cornbread itself ( Read more... )

If you put them in things, they'll get mushy but will add flavor. If you want them crisp, sprinkle on top close to the end.

I would imagine they'll just go all soggy. I find they go a little like uncrispy bacon though.

Y'know, at least once I've wondered if they are just actual bacon. I'm so totally addicted to them.

Not sure about the stuffing, but I think they'd be OK in cornbread. They probably will get a little soft, but not totally soggy. I feel like I've done this before and they were OK.
