hotdish?

I checked under the casseroles tag in the recipes section, but didn't see it. Has anyone tried a vegan hotdish before? More specifically tater tot hotdish? Just curious as to how it turned out and if you had any recommendations. If not, I may just take the leap of faith and try concocting one myself.

I love hotdish! My mom used to make one with ground beef, a can each of cheddar cheese soup and cream of mushroom soup, and frozen green beans, topped with tater tots. I'm not sure how one would go about veganizing that one. If you suceed, please let me know!!!

pacific foods makes a really good mushroom gravy that subs wonderfully as undiluted canned mushroom soup. and a few different companies make beefy crumbles. (i think lightlife's frozen ones are my favorite)

the only other thing is the cheddar cheez soup. which i suppose some sort of uncheese would do.

ah, thanks for the mushroom soup tip! i wasn't too keen on cooking up a big batch just to throw into a casserole.

yeah. that's what i use in my green bean casserole. i use that and some of their mushroom broth to thin it out a bit, and it works great.
