Dandelion Greens

Mar 22, 2007 16:38

Hi! I'm new here... Well I've never eaten dandelion greens before, but I just found a big one out in my garden (you know you're a vegan when you see a weed and think, "I want to EAT that!") So do I just pull it up and add it to my recipe du jour? (Or am I the only one who goes around trying to eat weeds?!)

Don't worry if it's VERY bitter. I think that's how they're supposed to be. I couldn't eat them. :

Yeah, I'm preparing myself for bitterness... It will be an interesting experiment though! =)

I used to pick them all the time for my rabbits. They'd be GREAT for my dogs. I've gotta do that, and eat some, too!

That's cool! Made me wonder if my cat might like them, but somehow I think not... LOL :)

I am jealous that you have grass right now. I still have snow. :(
