I got a food processor for my birthday! Yay! I'm now incredibly anxious to use it. Relevant recipes, please?

throw some edamame in there with with a dash of olive oil and a little bit of pear vinegar and it makes a really easy and delicious cold side/salad.

Did it come with a dough hook? If so, you can easily make really firm seitan by throwing in the ingredients for the dough and letting the processor 'knead' it for several minutes.

Some food processors do not have a powerful enough motor for this- your dough will be kneaded but it will then begin to decline in power. I learned this the hard way :(

my food processor was supposed to have enough power to do such things. I killed it the 2nd time with tofu.

I'm gonna call today about the warranty.

My advice:::

send in the warranty!!

I just called the company (Black & Decker and they are sending me a new machine) for free! I recommend trying this if yours isn't too old.

and for the poster:

You should totally make "meatless meatloaf", although that is how mine broke so be careful! haha

Food processors make garlic-chopping go superfast!
Also, pesto-making:
olive oil
basil
pine nuts
nutritional yeast
fresh garlic
Whizz and toss with pasta!
