stuffed dates omnomnom

You know Trader Joe's date rolls? They're dates all pressed into little bite-sized pieces, rolled in coconut, and topped with a blanched almond half. Not wanting to crank up the oven to bake anything, but still craving sweets, I approximated these in my own kitchen by just splitting some pitted dates and smushing them together with dessicated ( Read more... )

I harbor secret fantasies about dipping figs in uber dark chocolate and then rolling them in cocoa powder laced with cinnamon.

I had a Clif Nectar bar the other day that was dates, pecans, cinnamon, and vanilla, and it was totally awesome, so I recommend the combination :)

i split them and stuff them with either peanut butter or almond butter. someone in a post here a while back said they stuff them with tofutti better than cream cheese.
