Bento #4 + octo dog question

So right. Lately (since i've moved back in with my parents due to money issues) I have been eating .. anything. But i used to abstain from animal products and today I finally decided to suck it up and get back to veganing. So here's my first vegan bento :)

some people cut their hot dogs in such a way that when it boils it looks sort of like an octopus. Its just one way of cute ing up the bento. Soy of course doesn't quite work the same way, but I figure we can still make it look cute somehow ;)

Some people have made it work on soydogs, they just don't look as awesome as "real" hotdogs. I REALLY want to get one and try it out now....

It seems there is more of an issue with the "curling" of veggie dogs, they just don't achieve the same effect as meat dogs.

I still want to slice up some veggie dogs now.......

exactly.. i tried to cut in the shape but with out the curling it just looked like a piece of soy-dog with slits in it.

This looks pretty damn cute to me, and doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to make. (Not that I've tried it or anything).

And curl or no curl, I think the "jumping fish" effect will work either way.
