Dear fandom,

May we have a Neville story that does not contain the words, "killed the snake."  I'm finding it repetitive and annoying.

I'm working on one! He's only 8 in it and doesn't even know if he has magic yet, so there's no thought at all of him killing the snake. :P 'Course, it won't be finished for a while, because I'll be gone next week, but, eventually, there will be at least one out there.

I'd love to read a story from when Neville was eight. It's not even the subject that bothers me, but the way its always written the same. Paraphrase: "Don't feel bad. You killed the Snake." "He killed the Snake." "You killed the snake." Even though Neville killed the Snake, he was still shy." The same phrase!

I look forward to reading it. I'm writing a Neville story that involves Luna that starts fifth year. I'm trying to decide if I'll continue it to sixth year.

I've wanted to read a Neville sixth year fic for a long time. We don't see much of him in Half Blood Prince except in the beginning and at the very end. I think sixth year must have been a time of growth (mental-emotional) for him to have done the things he did seventh year. I think there's a lot of potential there.
