That was exactly what I was thinking when I was planning Nott's personality. He seems to be from a similar priveledged background as Lucius. I almost mentioned Lucius as a fellow benefactor to St. Mungo's but decided to focus only on Nott. I thought Lucius's remark to Neville at that moment was one of the nastiest statements in the series.

this is such an interesting piece. I’m curious to see if the elder Nott would ever actually reveal his intentions to Neville. Those jibes he made about Neville’s parents and the way Neville responded was well done

This piece is sort of leads the reader on. I'm sorry. I wrote it as an experiment to see if I could get Nott's voice and character right and if I could figure out how to write Neville's reactions. This will become part of a larger piece about why so many of the Bones family were killed, but not for awhile.

I'm glad you thought Nott and Neville's interaction was well done.
