Woah. That is a seriously original take on a throw-away line. I also love the ending. So ominous.

I love throw-away lines. The first thing they teach in film and screenwriting classes is that nothing happens on screen that is not vital to the story. So, those throw away lines while often meaning something to someone else (like Gibbs) can also mean something to the character. :)

What cracks me up was that this started out as a Jenny/Jethro piece. Ziva would NOT be left out. ;)

Very nice fic. Very original idea. I like your interpretation of the "it's complicated" line. It also fits in with Ziva not wanting Tony to imagine her pregnant in 'undercovers'

It's funny cause I was list listening to random stuff and another character I write has a lot of Eminem on his playlist but I've never really had it in the background when writing NCIS, ESPECIALLY when starting off with Jenny of all people. But it evolved into what it did.

I'm glad you liked it. It's been percolating for a while, enough that I think there are going to be a couple of ones that happen in the same universe. I think I want Gibbs to know, and I want there it be more than Ziva being upset at leaving Michael for her to be being snarky toward Tony when she returns at the beginning of season 6. Stuff like that. So I think it will continue. The sure fire way for me to not have a one shot? Say it's supposed to be a one shot. ;)

Oh, wow. I love this take on that throw away line. I always wondered about Ziva and kids, considering that comment and her reactions to the sparse-but-there situations involving pregnancy/children.

I love this. That episode broke my heart... Seeing into Jenny's thoughts like this is beautiful. Absolutely love it. And Ziva with a daughter is intriguing. I'm glad this isn't destined to be a one shot, because it's got a hell of a hook!!
