I have left the house for an extended period of time. Yes, on purpose. No, not to go to another hospital. Yes, I wanted to. Shockingly, yes, I'm visiting friends ( Read more... )

oh yes, two other things.

A) what did you think of watchmen? I was extremely impressed with how tru they stayed to the books and I felt the change was minor and just done due to keeping it simpler to explain; not to mention solving world power is a more relatable idea in this day and age.

B) you must have missed this when I posted it on facebook. so here it is again for your viewing pleasure. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/485797

A) Watchmen got an A, A- from me. I can nitpick, but I largely have no real complaints, other than Dan & Laurie's alleyway beat-down being a little too violent for their characters and the needless change to the story Rorschach tells the psychiatrist. The line "It was Kovacs who closed his eyes, whispered 'Mother.' It was Rorschach who opened them." is, to me, one of the things that makes the character, so I missed it.

B) I laughed until my face hurt, then I watched it and laughed again. Notable exclamations include:
"Rorschach's petting German shepherds!"
"Ozzy grabbed the Comedian!"
"Doc Manhattan gives you cancer...then turns into a car!"
"Eddie's Laurie's biggest fan!"

I actually haven't talked to her in...ages? Quite a while, to say the least. She's on Facebook somewhere, though.

Good for you!

Also, you're a trombone playing eagle scout? that's also into video games eh? There are others like you out there, not me. I'm only a clarinet playing life scout.

It was just a surprising series of coincidences, all sort of stacked on top of each other, more than anything.

All I have to say is...William...

you can interpret how you see fit.

I'm interpreting it to mean that you think it strange I crossed a time zone to visit friends without really telling anyone except the people I was coming to see.

Honestly, I forget how long it's been since I've talked to people. So I didn't even think to say "Hey, I'll be out of town this weekend" because it felt like I'd just seen you guys a week or two earlier.

Nope, not an accurate interpretation although not a bad one.
