Wow. I like how you painted the perspective of what one hundred years really means. And the pictures are all great.

I have to ask though...What shoes are you wearing? Aren't those mule things ladies' fashion?

Every time I see a picture of your father, I see you in 30 years. And when I see Papa K.O...I see you as an old man. It's really, really scary to see how much the three of you look alike. And let's not forget the laugh! It's eerie. And then I see Amanda and I see Wanda, Wanda, Wanda.

Gosh, genetics sure are interesting.

And it looks like Papa K.O. now has more hair than you do. *snickers*

First of all, they're Birkenstocks. And I wear them because of my feet problems. They're therapeutic.
But, yeah, when you line the three of us up, it's like looking through time. I'll thank you, however, to stop making fun of my hair loss. It's medicine-related.

Riiighhhttt and Johnnie's hair loss can be traced by to the one Tylenol he takes per year.

There are documented cases of prescription medicine causing hair loss.

This is the best entry I've seen in a long time. At the very least, the most interesting.

I love his blue vest--how classy! What a cool dude!

I can't imagine living to be 100 years old. I have no clue what the world would be like in 2084, a hundred years from my year of birth...

PS-You look like a mini version of your father with your mom's face. I'm certain someone else has told you this before.

I just now read the person above me's comments and clearly they think you look like your father too, hahaha. Apple doesn't fall far from the genetic tree.

Dad and I are eerily similar. Those Veazey genes are pretty strong.

And I'm pretty sure the world is going to be unimaginably different in a few subtle, but extremely important ways in a hundred years. It's those unpredictable changes, like the assembly line, the digital computer, and harnessing the atom that make the most fundamental difference.

I know this is completely random, but whatever happened to your sister? I swear you had a sister!

Very, very cool post. I like the way you tied 100 years of history together with your Uncle's life. The pictures were lovely - it shows a very loving family and I always enjoy those.

The thing that really got to me was that the Ottoman Empire was still around when my grandfather was born, and for the first ten years of his life. We think of empires as being these things that died out before the mid-1800s, usually, but both Turkey and Russia were still imperial nations at that point.

I agree that you look alot like your Dad and Papa K.O. Strong family resemblance there.

Great way to put things in perspective, also. Soemtimes we forget that people of this age don't know what it was like to not have McDonald's & computers & tons of cars everywhere. It really reminds us to keep things in perspective.

If we don't have personal jetpacks by the time I turn 100, I'm going to start a fuss.

Well, as much of a fuss as you can start at 100. But, I'll be right there with you.
