Most of you guys were on my migraine updates list and got the shot-by-shot analysis of my time in the MHNI inpatient program, but the gist of it is as follows:
- None of the medicines or procedures they tried got rid of the pain.
- We got a lot of useful data that my regular neurologist (Dr. Finkel) is going to parse and use to better manage my care.

1. Have you tried hypnosis? I didn't seem to recall that you had, but it might be worth a shot.
2. Mentally are you going to have to start treating this more like a disability and figure out ways to just work through the pain? If it were me I think I'd liken it to the marathon runner who doesn't have any legs but still tried out for the Olympics.

I've been working on treating this more as a chronic illness, but there are certain times when I just can't push myself through the pain beyond the barest of essential tasks (eating, going to the bathroom, and maybe taking a shower). When I feel better-is, I try to do things to keep my mind occupied, like an autobiographical account of everything that my aunt suggested. I did some work on it while in the hospital and am planning to continue as soon as I feel up to it.
