Smaller, newer, and without the stupidly lighted vents. If you remember the small one we looked at, it's that thing with a 15" screen instead of a 13". It's just about ideal, really. The only complaint I have is that the only built-in mousing device is a track-pad and I hate finger-painting my way through menus. And, apparently, it only has an ExpressCard slot and no PCMCIAs. Not a big deal, but I had thought it would come with at least one type-2 PCMCIA.
Yeah, I have a wireless Logitech mouse, but there appears to be a hardware problem. It doesn't click right, so I'm going to send it back and get another one. It's small, but still fits my hand well, and the transmitter is just a little USB dongle that plugs into the mouse itself. Very handy.
And the PCMCIA thing is almost a non-issue, especially since this actually has a FireWire port on it.
Correction: best part is that Steve Jobs doesn't have my financial walnuts in a jar on his desk. I like Macs, for the most part, but his biggest-little-monopoly thinking really turns me off.
