That is where I feel that I am.
In 2000-20001 I ruined my hands. Most of you may recall something about that.

Wear the braces, get a second pair. Wear one while washing the other. Experiment till you find the perfect brace for you, not all braces are good for all people.
Then wear them religously. I managed to get my CTS under control by wearing mine continuously for several years, so that now I only need them when I have flare ups.

I had managed to keep myself from remembering (Truly remembering) how painful it was. I guess it's kind of like my f*#@ing disability has just walked up behind me, spun me around, and Bitch-slapped me.
I think I will try "This too shall pass."

My mother developed carpal tunnel in 1999 and has to wear braces on both her hands such as you describe. I had to wear one on my left hand in 2004 when I got in that bad car wreck for awhile.

I've bought a soft ankle brace for when I get twinges in those joints (it actually alternates) and I'm considering a knee brace for the occasions that they ache, too, but I don't have anything near the level that youre experiencing. I hope the treatment that you're giving this problem helps out. I hate to hear of you in pain.

I was wearing the soft braces anytime I started to twinge, but apparently I shut off the safety switch on my pain responses when I started temping in order to keep myself employed.
REALLY Stupid Idea.
