So Brazil was amazing! I took a ton of great pictures, considering I only brought disposable cameras, they'll be up on facebook someday. The scenery was gorgeous, the fruit was delicious, The hotel was nicer than I expected and had a pool on the roof, and everyone I went with was super nice. I am tired of trying to diet and work out so I don't look like a lump of vanilla pudding on the beaches of Rio. I am failing, desperately, at the diet part and making only a halfhearted attempt at keeping to my workout plan. So tomorrow my office is having a Halloween party. Most of the staff is dressing up as members the Village People, which began completely coincidentally with a cowgirl, biker, and construction worker. I think it's hilarious. I love, love, love my job.

Somewhere between the ukelele cover of Baby Got Back and the Re: Your Brains chorus singalong, I decided that I definately have the most awesome boyfriend ever.

Also, I am going to be spending Thanksgiving on the beach in Brazil.  Someone save me some cranberry sauce? 

I love my apartment.  Everyone should come see it, because it's adorable and homey and full of 7 bazillion plants.  My housemates are a lot of fun, and I genuinely enjoy everyone's company ( Read more... )

I just found a roach in my house.  I hunted it down and killed it, and now my lungs burn and I have a headache from all the Raid I have frantically sprayed everywhere.  Doing so has done nothing to restore my sense of security.  I feel invaded.  I don't know if there are more and where they came from and why they are here.  My apartment is ( Read more... )

It is August.  New Brunswick has come to life. 

So I've moved into my new house.  It's weird, getting used to the idea that I'll be here for another 12 months, rather than just subletting like last summer.  I keep imagining what it will be like at Christmas.  The place is really nice, my room is huge.  The landlord upstairs is really loud at 2 and 3 am for some reason, which is weird, but other ( Read more... )
