Well, tomorrow's the big day. "The Desire for Dearborne" will be available from www.dreamspinnerpress.com in both paperback and e-book.

Behind the cut is an except from the novel. While attempting to locate his carriage after a play, Leander is accosted by a street thief. Julien comes to his rescue and takes Leander home in his carriage.

I just have to say that I LOVED your book. I just finished reading it and I thought it was wonderful.

I haven't read many historical romances before, and was happy to find that I really enjoyed this one. I mean, hell, I purchased the thing while I was at work last night and finished it this morning. I would have finished it sooner, but sometimes sleep becomes necessary. :P

Well, I just wanted to say that. Very good story. I look forward to more from you in the future.

Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it. I'm still a nervous wreck about the whole thing, and I'm not sure why, so that's very good to hear.

Hello... Just wanted to say that I loved your novel! It was a delightful read, full of intrigue, history, and a love that was both beautiful and exciting. Julien and Leander were absolutely wonderful characters, and I enjoyed getting to know them and their interesting friends and family. The Desire for Dearborne has definitely earned a spot on my favorite's list. I'll recommend it wholeheartedly and will look forward to your future works.

Thank you so much. Being my first novel, I have a special spot for Julien and Leander, who were actually much better behaved than many of my characters. *g*

I've just this minute finished reading Desire for Dearbourne and now it is sits equal with my favourite "modern" Regency Romance - The Reasons for Marriage by Stephanie Laurens.

The Regency has it's own special appeal for me (even the real historical bits *g*), the aristocracy, rules (and how to break them), the importance of the social niceties, comedy of manners and Jane Austen (including that a female was able to march even that far to the beat of her own drummer), flavoured with the fanon of Georgette Heyer and the extra special twist that m/m brings to the screen/book/thing .. well, I'm really happy I decided to visit DSP yesterday afternoon.
Thank you!

(going to have a poke around to see if you have something else out now or soon)

I love the Regency as well, both for reading and writing.

I don't have anything else currently published, but I'm two-thirds of the way through my next novel, which has a fantasy setting.

Thanks you for the kind words.

Excellent news - been reading fantasy since I was able to run my grubby paws through the pages of Prydain and Middle-Earth. *g*
Cheers and thank you.

Thanks for posting a different excerpt than the one on Dreamspinner's website. I really appreciate seeing different excerpts on the various sites, as it helps if I am having difficulty making up my mind about a new-to-me author. That said I think I have talked myself into buying your book.

Thank you for taking the time to drop me a note, and for taking a chance on a new author. I hope you enjoy the novel.

I've just finished reading The Desire For Dearborne and just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed it thoroughly. Julien and Leander were such well thought out characters, and the story was full of twists and turns and it was a really enjoyable ride.

I will be waiting for your next novel, whenever it comes. ^_^

Sorry it took me so long to thank you for your comments. I'm still wrestling with my second novel and the main characters are not as cooperative as Julien and Leander were.

Thanks again.
