Betrayal is one of my kinks, I think.

I love Alias to death, and the family dynamics - part of my wants Irina to be good, but part of me wants her ot keep screwing over Jack and Sydney.

I guess I'm evil. Or, no, I guess I just like to keep things interesting.

(Plus, I think Lena Olin is sexy as all hell in that role, but that's just me.)

Jack is a lot like my own father.

I, like you, lose interest if they just forgive and forget. I like the "cooperation under tension" thing that happens when Jack and/or Sydney have to trust Irina, and they never know.

Of course, at this point I guess, Jack will never trust her again.

If I were in Sydney's position I'd be so torn - but I guess that's what keeps it interesting to me.

Every day I become a little more convinced that Lena Olin is the sexiest woman currently on television. (Also, Jack Bristow reminds you of your own father? I'm not sure what to say to that!)

I too love Irina for her ambiguity--I mean, I do believe that her love for Sydney and Jack is real, but I adore the fact that you just never know what she'll do next. Not so good for Sydney and Jack, but wonderful for the viewers of the show.

*nods* I'm with you. That's why most of the fanfic drives me crazy. All of the writers are determined to come to some sort of conclusion, instead of leavings things messy and raw.

Also? I think I'm in love with your icon.

Anna, not Irina. How could I have gotten that wrong?

And yes, I have the same problem with the fanfic I've seen.

Speaking of, Vaznetti, I've been meaning to tell you - on my Alias list, we don't post fanfic, but I welcome people (including you) to either upload their fic to the files section, or post a link in the bookmarks section. We do have some people, myself included, who love fanfic!

(We have one person who disagrees with it on principle, but I've agreed to disagree with him and we're good friends.)

Oh, wait. Anna is YOUR name.

*facepalm*

I'm up past my bedtime. ;)

I just can't picture Jack and Irina settling down into some happily-ever-after. Not without some pretty serious character-deformation. Sure, they love each other deeply and passionately, but what good is that, compared to their history?

Also? I think I'm in love with your icon.

Thanks! I admit, I'm pretty fond of it too.

And once the story gets past the moment of forgiveness and reconciliation, I lose interest. I have no desire to watch the happily reconciled couple overcoming life's little trials.

*nods* I can relate. I suspect this is why I prefer writing (and reading) prequels to sequels.

This was probably brought on by one too many pieces of "happily ever after" Krycek slashfics. I seem to be in a very ranty mood, this past week or so--very critical of fandom and everyone in it. Aside from my special friends, of course.
