Oh my goodness giving you that meme was what reminded me that GC existed and was probably running again, and then I yelled and waved my hands in the air and ran to catch up as quickly as humanly possible. Oh god the angst is going to run so damn rampant BUT I MISSED IT IN MY LIFE SO MUCH.

....and one of these days I'm going to finish Eyeshield. It's a little scary how touching something that over-the-top ridiculous managed to be. I wonder if I didn't stop partly because I was embarrassed at how emotional I was able to get over it. |D

The angst is indeed rampant, but as consolation we get to see Colin's entire face at last, and yea, it is glorious. ;_; augh AUGH GC why do you do this to meeeeeeeeeeeee

who's YOUR favorite in GC, incidentally?

Eyeshield's amazing capacity to be touching and make me go "Awww" and sniffle as much as a Pixar movie is remarkable. It's one of its finest features, in my opinion. No other shonen does that to me, & very few manga do, & almost no manga with happy endings do. xD Take my tip, though: don't bother reading the final (international tournament) arc unless you really want to, because it's sort of full of awkward stereotypes and seems anticlimactic after the proper finale (the end of the Christmas Bowl).

My favorite in GC? Hoo boy. I do love Colin with a deep and abiding love. But I have this soft spot for Bridget and Cordy, despite their very brief appearance, and I've been hoping and hoping for them to come back and get developed because I like them so much. Girl!Colin just melts my heart. For the most part though, I am to this series as you are to xxxHolic - I just love everybody too damn much.

(They are starting to bring the girls back in Holic, though! Ame-Warashi was in the last chapter!)

Now that I'm at this Giant Football School, I feel like it is a terrific time to finish ES21. I'm gonna do it. At least to the end of the Christmas Bowl. <3333
