Super Vision

I really wanted to get a night vision scope for camping, but I didn't want the crap Gen.I intensifier from the 1950s, even though they're totally justifiable at $200, nor a mediocre Gen.II from the 1970s (around $1500). No, I wanted the newer Gen.III stuff that gives twice as bright of an image as the Gen. II (so starlight is all you need to see, ( Read more... )

Become a private investigator. With luck, your FLIR scope will pay for itself in no time!

"Alright, ma'am, now these videos may be difficult to watch. You'll see here that Tinkerbell slept in the bushes from 9:17pm to 9:50pm, after which she moved to the porch and sat while cleaning herself. At 10:03 the Oxley's cat Bo approaches clandestinely and attacks Tinkerbell in surprise. At first she feigns resistance but then gives in to the Maine Coon and the real intention is shown to be copulation. You could just get those new BMWs that will include the night vision camera which is designed to flash a HUD warning when it spots pedestrians or other obstructions in the street. And if you drive in Europe, it will even read speed limit signs (for some reason, this feature doesn't work in the US, supposedly because our signs aren't standardized, but I suspect because it can't read MPH)

Er no wait, I meant to say Don't spend that kind of extra money, man, there are blind kids in Africa who'd kill to have night vision like that! Or something.

Hell, I'm happy with my Mini Maglite with the red filter on it and the cheapo "Lackland Lazer" flashlight I got in Basic.
