OMG. This is easily the worst Tex-Mex food I've ever had in my life. I'm almost sick. Now, I know what you're thinking- why the hell would I eat Tex-Mex in New York, ESPECIALLY when I live in Texas and KNOW nothing will come close to the food I get there?! not being a Texas native, I realize my opinion is of less value. However, when/if I manage to leave this state, tex-mex is one of those things I'll miss immeasurably. I think a portion of my blood has been replaced with queso.

I found the same thing when I was in the North East. The Mexican food was terrible but the Chinese was very good.

OMG you're a brave soul! While applaud your adventurous nature - I ate Italian food while in France - at some point you have to draw the line. Chinese people making Tex-Mex in New York? They were hurling clues at your head and you never ducked.

On the bright side, there is good Tex-Mex in NYC. At least there used to be. You just have to know where to look.

Glad you survived this adventure. Hope it didn't come back to haunt you on the plane!
