Looks interesting.

I'd like to try it out with my wife (we both play ADRPG) but it seems kind of pointless with identical decks. Are you going to post some character generation rules soon?

Yes, quite soon.

Try it out with identical decks, though... there are some interesting bits to be learned even there.

If you want to try it out with non-identical decks, just take two decks, pull (say) the eights from each deck, shuffle them, and deal four back to each deck, and play them.

Are these mostly full decks that are being used? Minus the royals, that would be 40 cards? Do you draw a hand from this deck? I'm a little confused by the use of the pocket vs. deck in your example.

Also, I noticed that you stopped replying to messages on the AML. Did you end up unsubscribing?

These are full decks that are used. Each player has access to the full range of cards. If the player keeps his deck fairly well sorted, it shouldn't be too hard to find a particular card quickly; 2-10 of four suits is 36 cards.

You don't draw a hand, you use the full deck.

The deck is the cards you have available at any one time; you hold these in one hand.

The cards in your pocket are those you have expended in play.

I didn't unsubscribe to the AML, I just stopped posting because the atmosphere was getting too heated.

That's a shame. There were some questions that had come up that I had been hoping to see an answer to.
