hm.. i dont really think that there are many people who can really "be themselves" around everyone, i mean, there are definitely people you would act differently around, and even some of your friends, personally im a pretty closed off guy, i act "normal" most of the time but i dont truely reveal myself, maybe sometimes to really close friends, there are alwasy defenses people set up and i think it's just a natural thing, for me, if i really want to express myself, i do it through music, it's the one public outlet that i have for that, anyways, nice to meet you, name's Shawn here, i like the poetry, keep it up
This poem reminds me of an ex finace of mine where we were both trying to be something we thought the other wanted, yet neither of us did. It was so stressfull and wrong. Now, today we are just friends and we realise everything we did wrong and we like each other and understand each other so much better now.
The cold is just starting here and I really don't mind it. I like it much more than the blistering, humid heat of the summer.

It was all important at the time,
Oh man does that ever ring true. I can look back on times and think "what was I thinking? THAT wasn't what was important!"
I so wish I could go back knowing what I know now, things would so much clearer.
