Well another week has gone and we still don't have contracts exchanged for my mother's house in London. This is irritating, not just for me but all the people who are helping avoid landfill by taking some of the furniture. Our buyer has sat on the contracts all we so he can have a good look at them at the weekend. What is he expecting to find that ( Read more... )

It's a bummer waiting on someone else to get their finger out! Don't you long to shout "Get a flipping move on. How much of a look do you need???" You could do it under a railway bridge a la Cabaret. Good for the spirits - bad for other people's nerves though.

Hope he gets a move on on Monday pronto!

I'm sorry it's being such a headache - I really don't like the house-buying and house-selling process here.

If the buyer's solicitor is anything like ours, it's a wasted weekend. On the other hand, if the buyer's solicitor is anything like our buyer's solicitor....

My sympathies. I keep telling myself that if we could only sell our cottage, then we would never ever ever ever ever have to go through this process again (as I've informed Tim that I inted to be carried of the new house feet first - no more moves for me!).

I just wish it could be easy :-(

Good wishes that it will all sail through next week.

Hugs to all.
