Sooz started it, Madb did it too. I'm either not doing it right or I'm doing it too right because I took the Mary Sue Limitus Test for myself and got a whopping 3. "Most likely Not-Sue. Characters at this level could probably take a little spicing up without hurting them any."

*ponder* How do you answer the "name" part for this use of the MS test?

well, I ignored the 'are you a fandom character' part (I guess I'm a character in an original work, right?) and my name is pretty normal... and although 'Kelsey' is traditionally a boy's name, it's still a common enough name in the western world. So I checked the ticky box for 'boyish name for female character' one and that was it.

IKR? I mean, yeah I was able to check pretty much EVERY PART OF THE LAST SECTION, but even then my score was only 12 before that.

I know Madb answered all the "Does your character share a ____" questions 'yes.' I didn't and I still got a 30. :O

I didn't because that's... obvious. And the test clearly says 'do not check things that are common for your character's world.' I figure 'sharing your own beliefs' is pretty common, so I didn't bother marking those.

Well did you mark all the stuff that asked if you shared the same opinions as yourself? The meme says to NOT mark thinks that are common for the world the character is in.

Beth and I did, on some of them. We both skipped the "fandom" questions entirely.

I have a lot of things like, oh, some weaponry that my dad gave me that actually has stories behind it on how he got it, meaningful names, etc.

Yeah but it's also pretty common to have your opinions... match your own opinions in IRL canon, so I don't think they should be counted.

Since the list says "if you mark things common for your world you may get an overly inflated score".
