HELL YES. "Oh, this isn't bad at all!" ♥ NEVILLE IS SO WINCHESTER.

GRINDELWALD WAS PISSED DUMBLEDORE DIDN'T WANT TO COME START A WHOLE NEW WORLD AT HIS SIDE.

...I'm pretty sure that's still like at least three or four. Or maybe she just meant Fred and Remus.

IT IS. Especially since George was the follower of the two, huh? Well, as much as either were. Fred was the instigator, I should say.

I HAVE I HAVE.

ROFL The Ron/Hermione/basilisk fangs scene reminded me of that scene from The Princess Bride ( ... )

AT WORK SO CAN'T FORM LONG REPLY, JUST HITTING ONE BULLET POINT AND WILL DO REAL REPLY LATER ♥

Honestly I get the feeling, looking back on it -- Remus wasn't 'pulling a Sirius'. He was self-distructive since we first met him, probably shooting for an early death, but Harry and Sirius just staved it off. With one dead and the other not needing him anymore, nothing was left to hold him back.

Well, except I guess Tonks and the Kid, but like I said. I. I just don't feel it. The relationship felt so half-assed to me.

See, Dobby's and Fred's deaths were the ones that made me tear up.

But they weren't immediately covered on both sides by ZOMG DEATH SPELLS FLYING EVERYWHEREZ!

Plus they actually got moments of memorial.

That could have been it as well. Everything about Remus and Tonks was rather slapdash in the book -- including their death!

Yeah. You get the idea that she had more in mind, but didn't find the space for it.

I really like Remus/Tonks. I was definately sad about that.

But the epilogue? WTF. Seriously. I totally agree with you on that point.

I also love that everyone has a past in this series, even if we didn't know it at first. Book 1, Dumbledore is all nice and wise and kindly. Book 7, Dumbledore has one HELL of a backstory and now we look back and realize that there is a lot more to this man than just nitwit, blubber, oddment, and tweak.

I think Sooz said it best - Remus/Tonks could have been interesting except as soon as they entered in a relationship they COMPLETELY CHANGED. Seriously, I mean. I try not to do the "JKR DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO WRITE HER OWN CHARACTERS!!!1" thing, but Tonks in book 5 and Tonks in book 6&7 are two entirely different people.

YES though, on Dumbledore. It makes me giggle about people complaining that the current actor in the movies is playing him 'too dark'. It's like "ARE YOU READING THE BOOKS? THAT'S HIM PLAYING IT RIGHT."

Remus/Tonks COULD have been interesting, except that the moment it happened apparently they BOTH TURNED INTO POD PEOPLE.

I seriously spent the last two books going, "OK, wait, so which Death Eater has kidnapped Tonks and is now masquerading as her? Oh, and now it looks like Lupin's been gotten to as well... wait what they've reproduced and now they're dead HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!"

EXACTLY. The Remus and Tonks relationship could have been amazingly interesting-- if it had included either Remus or Tonks in it. :( Which makes me sadface. :( :( :( :(

Still haven't shipped your doujin yet - am going to try to do that when I am out and about tomorrow as I'll be in the area of a place to do it.
