That's exactly the line I was trying to balance. Thanks, Samson-it's amazing how similiar the two seem sometimes, depending on what light they are shown in.

I had to read it twice!
I was so sure it was Severus'POV, it fitted perfectly: Sirius dead, Sev alive thanks to Dumbledore, teaching in Hogwarts and finally getting the DADA post, the isolation in his quarters, the mementos from his childhood days...
And then, the end came and... it was just the opposite! *sobs*
It's wonderfully plotted, and very very sad.
Only to think about Sirius hugging his little box... Ç_Ç

ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. *whimpers* "Sad" doesn't seem strong enough an emotion for this. Sweetly sorrowful. And wonderfully clever when you realize just whose POV this is from.
