[He's not an idiot. He can sense your presence so naturally he turns around and looks over.]

You're that whatshisface...

[Pfff, she laughs at that.]

Hey, that sounds similar enough to a compliment that I'll take it. I make it a point to stand out.

But... well, they can be. Normally these big buff guys that look angry all the time. They probably think they're intimidating! [She snickers.] Nothing more satisfying than beating them to their target~

As for you and Obi... maybe! You seem to come from around the same time period too, since he wasn't familiar with a gun either. Watch out for him for me, yeah? I'm not sure how capable he is, but it'd be a shame for someone to take advantage of his... lack of technological knowledge.

[He shakes his head, grinning.]

I only have two eyes. But I am curious about what he's planning on trying now, so I suppose I can watch out for him.

[She laughs, but she's content with his answer.]

Works for me.

... so if he's a fellow thief or spy as you said, I'm going to guess you gave him a tip or two?

I might have suggested a thing or two.

Like~?

[She has this horrible feeling that it'll just make more work for her.]

He was just curious about we've learned so far, and how to gain further information.

The usual sort of thing.

Hmmm...

[... that could mean a lot of things. So she takes a moment to actually get through her food.]

So... you told him how to get information, which is done by either going to the direct source or finding reliable sources amongst the foreigners.

Am I on the right track?

[Yes, it's a guessing game now.]

Something along those lines.

[He'd rather not be scolded. It's such a nice dinner. :D

So he takes a bite.]

It was just some friendly information exchange.

[It's not a true dinner if he's not scolded. She won't be deterred.]

Says you.

[Because anything Matthew says is immediately doubted at this point.]

So you either referred him to Naoya or someone or...

[The direct source- the church.

...

And then she just looks exhausted.]

You didn't.

[INNOCENT LOOK. He pulls his fork from his mouth and smiles.]

I didn't do what?

[If this place wasn't so fancy, her own fork would be flying at his head-]

You didn't act like a sensible and compassionate human being from the looks of it.

[He grinned.]

I did exactly what he asked of me.

It'll be interesting to see exactly how talented he is.

[... She can't deny it. So she just sighs.]

I'm not hiding him if they're looking for him should he actually manage to get in. Just to clarify.

Neither am I. Our little tails are gone, so if he can't avoid them, he isn't much of a thief.

[A roll of her eyes and she goes back to eating. It leaves a bad taste in her mouth, but what's done is done. ... well not really. One last bitter remark-]

Shame that your more polite counterpart is being put in danger, though.
