It won't talk.

[There comes the welcoming committee!

Except, it is not much of a committee and more just one kid, far too curious for his own good. Philip has been shuffling around since the earthquake, trying to figure out where it came from. And also trying to decide whether or not the water looks a little different. It seems to, but it could be just his imagination.

He spotted Norway and well... new people are always intriguing. Especially since he cannot simply do a quick and easy look up on them in this place. At least he is a very knowledge-able kid. That is, if you can keep his attention and get him to speak up a bit.]

Is there a reason why?

[He gives the new stranger a quick one-over. At least he wasn't alone in this strange world, even if he does want to believe it's just a dream. He really couldn't have fallen into something and woke up at the bottom of the ocean, right? But in dreams, things don't seem so real. In his dreams, the fairies would be talking like they did back on the surface.]

Do faeries normally speak?

[Philip never met a faery before coming to this place. Supernatural things are not really a part of Fuuto's daily life. And he did try conversing with his faery in every language he could think of, and a few made up ones as well --Keyword is 'Klingon', 'Vulcan', 'Elvish'-- but nothing had worked. In the end, the conclusion he had come to was that these faeries were possibly mute.]

The ones I know did. Do. They spoke in an ancient tongue.

[The nation moves to scoop the fairy into his hands but he has no such luck. Fickle little fairy. He holds his hand out again. He'll keep it there until his arm gets tired.]

[He... knows that guy. Yes, he does. It takes a minute or so of staring for him to snap out of it and actually say something.]

... Lukas?

[Impossible! His... his friends were showing up and ohmygod that really was Norway so now he smiles widely and bounds over. Sudden bear hug, get!]

Lukas!

[Hurk! Personal space, what is that? He struggles in that bear hug for all of five seconds and just like that, hands going up to his face to avoid as much contact as he could before he eventually surrenders. Just a dream.

Just a dream. With America in it. What does it mean?]

Alfred?

Lukas! I can't believe you're here too, that's pretty awesome. First Arthur and now you! Ahhh, I can't wait for who else will show up!

[He pulls back a bit but keeps his arm slung around Norway's shoulder.]

Welcome to Vatheon!

Show up? It wasn't my choice to arrive in a strange underwater city--Just what happened?

[He relaxes a little. It's still strange physical contact, but he gets enough of it from Denmark to be familiar with it.]

Vatheon. Where is that?

[ When did the Undertaker sit next to Norway? No one knows. Perhaps he was always there. Either way, he's resting his old bones. ]

Unfortunately, my boy, these beautiful creatures won't be talking to us any time soon~

[A bit reluctantly, he lowers his hand. He has never heard of a fairy that didn't talk--well, unless it was from a foreign country and of course if it was frightened, but then again his fairies have a bad case of the Denmark syndrome; they just don't stop talking. He glances at the strange man with a bit of curiosity.]

That's a pity. I wonder why they choose to be silent...

[And there is a young man leaning against the side of one of the buildings ringing the plaza, arms crossed in an utterly relaxed manner.]

Of course it does. They always know where we are.

So where am I, then? The Atlantis theme park?

Not quite. This is Vatheon, and it's probably easiest to describe it as another world.

Hm. That so. Looks like what I'd picture Atlantis to look like, minus all the ruins and being completely submerged with no life at all save for fish.

Vatheon. ...An underwater city is a first for me.

[A small frown as he stares at the fairy for a couple seconds.]

How did I get here?
