[Why not look around for someone, then? Because there's an older kid walking by, messing with an almost identical "starfish thing" like it's some sort of communicator. There were so many little ones lately that it's almost ridiculous. Yet there was one other commonality: weaving between his feet was a small white kitten that seemed to mewl rather loudly as he got closer. Looking down at the kitten first, he soon sees the little girl.]
[She looks up and bites her lip briefly. Should she trust this person? She doesn't really have any other choice... and the kitten near him doesn't look hurt, so he might not hurt this one...]
