Wednesday. 7pm. A calm, normal day in Vatheon. Nothing betrays what is coming. And yet the signs were there, if only someone had been able to see them for what they were

[She has to bite her tongue here, because the last thing he needs is a lecture, she is sure. A sigh escapes her lips in its place, as she closes her eyes for a moment to try to calm herself down. When he sits on the bed, she forces herself to examine his wounds more carefully, though she hates seeing him like this.
She can tell where he's tried to cast his own healing spells.
And then, quietly--]
Y-You don't seriously expect me to believe that, do you...?
[She grabs her Evoker just then, prepared to do what she must, though her hands shake a little...]
[And with the Evoker to her temple, she summons Isis--quietly, as a green light comes over Minato, a Diarahan spell taking hold. Her powers are weakened here; she knows it won't work as well as back home. But she hopes it at least helps, especially since the fighting is not over.
She breathes heavily as she lowers her Evoker, to see if things have changed...]
[Even back home, a broken arm had had Akihiko-senpai out for some time. Here, with their magic weakened, it's true that it doesn't do much to heal the breaks. But it does take away some of the pain, and Minato is grateful for the attempt. So he reaches out and takes her hand, squeezing it reassuringly.]
[She squeezes his hand back, and his regained strength, even if it is slight, makes her smile. She is still looking with concern down at his ribs, however; she knows that their magic is limited, especially here. This little setback is starting to annoy her more and more.]
You should worry more about yourself. [Even as she says this, however, the pace of her breathing hasn't really improved.] I-I don't think there's much I can do in the way of broken bones.
[...The apology is silent, but there. In her expression, her eyes, her everything.]
You're gonna have to take it easy. And maybe see a doctor...
[Her words carry a playful threat, but she knows neither of them can avoid the fighting forever. They joined the Defense Force for a reason, after all. But still, there are plenty of people to take over for him while he recovers.]
It's safe here, so...go ahead and rest. I'll keep watch.
[She isn't about to let anything bad happen to him while she's around. And...well, the bed isn't perfect but it feels comfortable enough...
She stands up to grab a chair from nearby to sit with him, releasing his hand slowly--as if she doesn't really want to.]
[They both know it, especially with Minato's position in the Defense Force, as well as SEES. There's no way he would ever allow his team to fight without him--he is their leader, after all, and his place is with them. But for now...he simply nods slowly.]
Alright. Thank you.
[He'll get some rest here, before he has to head back to running the show. That seems fair.]
[Though she doesn't really see it it as anything to thank her for. It's what any good teammate would have done--and in fact, she should be doing more. She is thinking, about him, about everything--
There have got to be some doctors in the city. Would any of them be available now...
She decides to rest her head on part of the bed, as if she's waiting for him to suddenly wake up, magically better, though she knows it won't happen. You've got to work for miracles like that, don't you? But there isn't any harm in wishing for it anyway...
She lifts her head up casually to give him a glance, trying to make sure she does not fall asleep on him.
'more CR for them!darkstone_heroOctober 6 2011, 02:07:51 UTC
[Touko's not here willingly - Daiken the Samurott's bringing her in as she's been a bit banged up in all the fighting.] Daiken...
[It seems that the pokemon has more sense than his trainer right now, but Touko honestly wants to help out as much as she can that she.... kinda forgot about herself for a bit. ] I can still fight.
[...Touko be thankful you cant understand pokemon as he's calling you stupid, girl.]
[She has to bite her tongue for a moment to keep herself from saying Hilda again, but she stares in disbelief when she sees her. She runs to her side to help her Pokemon support her, and immediately starts leading her towards a nearby bed where she can rest, while her injuries are assessed.
...She is ignoring that stubborn declaration of hers for now, since it obviously isn't true.]
ENTER RORY, NURSE BOY EXTRAORDINAIRE!romanomensOctober 6 2011, 03:51:11 UTC
Rory's instincts had kicked in the moment he'd realised what was happening. Of course it took a few moments to really let it sink in that they were under attack. He'd thought briefly on helping those outside that were battling that monstrosity, good as he was in a fight with all the training he'd retained even after the reboot, he really couldn't deny his need to help in another way.
The infirmary seemed like the logical choice, even if he didn't really have much equipment with him. Even so, he had a better chance to do something of use there. If someone needed help, he would do his best to get them as close to patched up as he possibly could. It wasn't magic, but it was the least he could do.
[Even though she was weary from fighting, that didn't stop Mami to care for the injured in the Infirmary. She held out her hands and a warm yellow light appears.]

...I mean it. I think--
[A quiet breath.]
It might have broken a few ribs...?
[But as far as injuries are concerned, he's had worse.]

[She lets out a breath to calm herself, as she steadies her hand.]
Just hold still.

I'll be sure to see a doctor as soon as I get the chance.
[...when that is, he cannot say, for there are more important things to concern themselves with at the moment. But--]
I'll be careful and stay away from the fighting, though.
['So don't worry.']
