Elliot happened to be strolling by at that moment, ears twitching just a little as he'd heard the voice. It was about that time, wasn't it? Or at least it seemed like it might be time for the new waves to start rolling in. So a pause and a wave as he turned, assuming that she had been talking to him.
"Hello...?" Came the puzzled response, the hare's brow furrowed just a bit. She didn't look familiar, so why she would be calling out to him was beyond him.
Oh, definitely wet and definitely new. Elliot frowned just a little, looking away to completely avoid eye contact.
"Ah, well, you see there's no way out. At least not yet, anyway, they're working on an elevator thing but I don't really think it's going to go anywhere."
[After his own arrival Danny had taken to exploring as much of it as possible. Starting with the plaza. He had not been expecting to hear another familiar voice. He freezes and comes running straight towards her.]
Everyone deserves to be welcomed by one of the trolls :pmeddlefussyfangSeptember 26 2011, 05:50:02 UTC
In the time that Kanaya has been in the bubble city, she's come to observe certain patterns. Curses come and go, and the coral evidently draws people to the city in a similarly periodic fashion. If her understanding is right, now is a time when more people will be appearing.
So, she's hanging out on a bench in the plaza, skimming the SFC for interesting conversations, and generally just hanging out. It's a little surprising to see someone actually appear out of thin air like that, but not too much. A clean towel is grabbed from one of the stands around the area, and she approaches the human girl.
"Would you like a towel to dry off? And perhaps some information?"
Yeaaah |Dultra_recycloSeptember 26 2011, 18:03:54 UTC
And Sam jumps in sheer surprise. She'd yelled for help, but she wasn't used to people actually responding -- and she really wasn't used to it being a complete stranger. She eyes the towel a little warily for a moment, before grabbing it and running it through her hair.
Maybe she'll feel a little better when she's dried off.
"-- yeah. I'd like both of those. A lot, actually."
Sam's got an advantage in that ghosts are weirder looking than trolls, huh? :pmeddlefussyfangSeptember 27 2011, 01:16:36 UTC
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." An apology for the alarm seemed perfectly in order, as she passed the towel over. She smiled a little and studied the other girl's appearance, particularly since purple eyes seem to be very rare in humans.
"As for information... I think the main thing is that you, like a good number of us here, have been displaced into an underwater city in another universe."
[Yukari heard the voice call out. She doesn't turn around right away; she's too distracted watching the falling snow, and she assumes the girl is talking to someone else. When she hears Sam's footsteps draw near, however, curiosity gets the best of her.
She whirls around.]
Oh--
[--That's an interesting choice of fashion, she has to admit. She notes the darker colors.]
[Yep. Black and purple all the way, and don't ask Sam about it, unless you're prepared for a lecture about how it's a lifestyle choice and not simply a wardrobe -- but, for now, she'll be content to regard Yukari with an expression of wariness.]
Please tell me that's not normal. People to show up soaking wet, I mean.

"Hi. I'm looking for the way out of here, if you'd point me in the right direction."

Sam hesitated, turning in a half-circle and studying the plaza.
"There's can't be no way out. There's a way in, isn't there?"

Well, you guys are practically crawling out of the woodwork. First your little boyfriend, then you. Wonder who else will show up.

First of all - I don't have a boyfriend. [But it's a relief to know that Danny's here, too.]
Second of all - how did you bring me here? Where is this place?
Reply
And I didn't bring you here. We're brought here by some outside force.
Reply
Some outside force. Sure. The game is up, Ember - I know you have to be up to something.
Reply
Sam! Are you okay?

[Sam is still soaked, irritated, but now there's at least a note of relief in her voice.]
You're alright! Where's Tucker?
Reply
[He hesitates.] Not here. But Ember is.

Then how do we get home?

Explanations like that help everyone feel better.

Sam frowned a little, tilting her head a few degrees to the side as she studied Kanaya. Some weird sort of ghost? Or was she just hallucinating?

...Heh. It is, if you can believe it. [Though she knows it's hard to.]
It's not usually not a big deal here-- [It happens all the time.] But with the snow, I've been a bit worried.
