N had at least progressed from bawling, though he was still obviously subdued when he arrived. Even the snow could not lift his mood much; he had simply bundled up warmer and trudged through it.
He lifted his hand and knocked, before stuffing it back in his pocket.
Kuma was the first to run over to the door. And by run, one could actually probably say wander, since the bear wasn't moving at a leisurely pace. Canada's reply came a few moments later. "It's unlocked. I'll be there in a moment." He just had to rinse off his hands and dry them, but that wouldn't take long at all so he would be there in a minute or so.
Of course, he also trusted N enough that he could let himself in if he wanted (especially since he was sure that Kuma was doing his best to open the door, anyway). "Thank you for coming."
There was so many cuddles from Kuma. Even he missed seeing N. So much so, in fact, that the bear was giving him an affectionate little lick on the cheek, which was something he didn't do often for people.
"There's no need to thank me. It's what friends are for." There was a bit of a pause before he smiled even more. "It'll be ready in just a moment or two." He just had to make sure that it was thoroughly heated.

"Thank you for cooking," he responded, carrying the bear into the kitchen.
