[When Izaya opens the door, he looks a little bit more tired than usual- but the moment he sees that it is Ran...Well.

He smiles.]

Ran-kun.

[It's been a little too long and he instantly steps aside to let Ran inside.]

Oh! [He notices the dish and his eyes widen.] What's in there? You arrived just in time. I just finished a lot of work and am pret-ty starving.

I am glad to hear it! I was not sure if you had eaten or not.

[ He offers the bowl after he steps inside. ]

Do you like Kakuni? I made some today, and thought I should share.

I tend to neglect myself from time to time when it comes to food on days like these.

[He'll just take the bowl from Ran now, peek at it, and head into his kitchen.]

Make yourself at home, Ran-kun. Kakuni? Yeah, it's pretty delicious when the right person makes it.

[He sets the dish on the dining table and gestures for Ran to sit.]

I'll go get some tea ready. Unless you'd prefer something else to drink?

[Okay, he's very excited to see Ran. It's been a little too long.]
