Hi, Liz! I'm looking for romantic comedies that have weddings as a part of their plot.

[I mean duh.]

You're what? [because she had no idea you were into that sort of thing.]

It's for a friend of mine.

He really wants to know about weddings, I guess, and he likes romcoms. And he's been really helpful to me since I arrived here, so I wanted to get a gift for him.

[noghostsplzkthx]

Oh. Makes a little more sense. [pulling one off the shelf to take a look in an effort to try and help.]

[She pauses for a moment before continuing] He's a troll.

Uh-huh! And the things Patti and I turned into during that curse. Karkat--

Well. He gets ticked off pretty easily so I try to be cautious with what I say around him.

Seriously? [pause.] Kind of like Kid and his symmetry. Sounds like a pain.

...Ahahaha...not really. He starts swearing up a storm, at least Kid isn't so rage-filled.

But I don't think it's a pain myself. He's sharp and--like I said--he's been really informative since I got here. So, I like him!

So do you mean you like like him, or just like him?

[...She...hardly even knows how to react to this. Sometimes it would be with flustered rage, other times huffing and scoffing. Right now neither option feels very appropriate.]

I'm not interested in dating, Liz, but even if I was I'm pretty sure it's a terrible idea to date outside of my species. And he's seeing someone else, too. I'd be no better than Papa if I got between that.

[...Shrug!] It's just a friend thing.

Hey, if the guy's hot, I don't see a problem going for something not human. [technically a weapon and weird on her own right.] I mean, normally I'd agree with you, but have you seen the guys around here?

Anyway, I get it, but why aren't you interested in dating?

Of course I've seen them, I see them every day. They're just guys.

It's just not something that I want to focus on right now. There's a lot more going on, you know?
